- Diet: Juveniles eat a variety of aquatic invertebrate, including frogs. Adults
are perfectly adapted for catch fish
- Habitat: Rivers.
Adapted to the slow moving areas of large deep rivers.
- Fossil Record:
Gharials are known from the Eocene,
however the modern genus Gavialis first appeared in the
Miocene.
