DiagnosisThe Astacidea includes the lobster, Homarus. The cephalothorax has a well developed rostrum and is usually sub-cylindrical. The pleon and associated pleura are well developed and the uropods preserve diaresis. Finally the chelae on the 1st pereiopods are very large.
