Placentals

The Placentals form a diverse group where the embryo is provided nourishment from the placenta and remains in the uterus until fully developed.

Examples of Placentals include Bats, Primates and Whales.

Fossils fragemnts of teeth, jaws and skulls from the late Cretaceous provide evidence of the existance of early placental mammals.
