Modern forms
There are only seven species of living Sarcopterygii.
- One species of actinistians called the coelacanth
found in the oceans near the Comoros in the Indian Ocean and
near Sulawesi in Indonesia
- 6 species of lungfish or Dipnoi in South
America, Australia and Africa.
