Asterozoa
Asterozoa are a class of marine
animals who belong to the phylum Echinodermata, the largest phylum
without any freshwater or terrestrial forms.

Superphylum: Deuterostomia
Phylum: Echinodermata

The above cladogram
is a summary phylogenetic
hypothesis of the Echinodermata, based
on David and Mooi (1997), Littlewood et al. (1997), and Sumrall
and Sprinkle (1997). Note that Edrioasteroidae is not a monophyletic group and that
the phylogenetic position of most fossil echinoderms is still
uncertain.
