Mazon Creek

Mazon Creek is found in the Northeast of Illinois in the United States. The Mazon Creek location is a fossil lagerstatte, deposited in a deltaic estuarine environment 300 million years ago, during the Middle Pennsylvanian of the Carboniferous period.
