Bristol Palaeobiology Group Logos

The Bristol Palaeobiology & Biodiversity Research Group had a competition among its members for suggested logo designs. The winner, in January 2013, was Mr Al Tanner, then a final-year undergraduate on the MSci Palaeobiology and Evolution programme. His logo, representing a foraminifer rampant to the left, and an uncertain, possibly, synapsid dragon recumbent to the right, supporting a DNA strand in the centre, obeys all the rules of classical heraldry, and represents the breadth of organisms and themes within the group.

The logo is available in various formats, for use in posters, talks, letterheads, and promotional literature by members of the group. Please note that these logos are to be used in the forms made available, and not adjusted, edited, or otherwise improperly used. Original images © Alastair Tanner 2013. The logos are only for the use of members of the University of Bristol.
