PhD in Palaeobiology
The Bristol Palaeobiology Group accepts a number of PhD students each year. We have a large school of PhD students at any time, and we like to appoint three or four each year. Topics are posted here in November each year.

For British applicants, we generally receive five or six NERC studentships each year through the Doctoral Training Programme, for all earth sciences topics, and interviews are held in February and March.

Unfortunately, we do not have extensive funding for non-UK, and especially for non-EU, students. The University offers wider advice on funding options here, and a useful Fund Finder tool. It is also worth looking for scholarship support from your own country. Overseas applicants may select a topic from the published list, or devise a new topic with their selected supervisor.
