Much of the palaeobiological research in Bristol is focused on data bases. We have long made these freely and publicly available, from the Fossil Record 2 data base, which was made live to the world in 1994, onwards. This led to the idea of using good quality data to date the genomic tree of life, and we offer our date-a-clade web site.

The data bases currently listed (left) are a sample of some older data bases associated with publicatiomns. Such data bases are now regularly lodged as electronic appendices to published papers.
